La Tablée des Chefs

Cooking as an ingredient for social change.

The mission of La Tablée des Chefs:

NOURISH families in need and EDUCATE future generations by developing their food autonomy.

We are the association of chefs committed to the fight against food insecurity, the culinary education of future generations and the awareness of future professionals in the culinary sector. Our actions are divided into two main areas of intervention:

food recovery, production and redistribution of complete meals to food aid associations.

culinary education and healthy eating awareness programs, in middle schools in priority education networks and children's homes of a social nature (child welfare).

La Tablée des Chefs has existed in France since 2013 and in Canada since 2002. In France, La Tablée des Chefs has collected and distributed more than 80,000 dishes, impacted more than 2,500 young people and is supported by a sponsor who is very committed to youth, Guillaume Gomez, Chef of the Elysée Palace kitchens.

Poverty & Solidarity

Human warmth network
Entourage fights against the loneliness of homeless people by encouraging local residents to "dare to meet" their street neighbors. Entourage is a social network dedicated to solidarity, which allows local residents, along with associations, to act together to make their neighborhoods more humane. The Entourage team combines social action professionals, homeless people and digital experts. The project was founded by Jean-Marc Potdevin, a former successful web entrepreneur, who is now committed to putting his expertise and energy at the service of the social link. Our action is innovative:because it allows local residents, who often do not know how to act in the face of extreme poverty, to each become actors of change;because it takes advantage of technologies to bring together populations who do not speak to each other and who are on the same territory;because it aims above all at the relationship, the meeting; beyond material aid. Join local caring initiatives around homeless people;Access tutorials to better understand the world of the street and help you take the plunge;Inform you about the associations and social services available nearby. The application also allows associations to better monitor and coordinate their field actions.

Association Lazare

Simply living together
Since 2011, LAZARE has been developing and running apartments shared by 6 to 10 people between people who have lived on the streets and young active volunteers. An internal regulation sets rules for the good of all and the actions of daily life are assumed by the residents: cleaning, shopping ...The beneficiaries are, on the one hand, young active people who wish to invest themselves concretely in society and, on the other hand, people in situations of exclusion. The latter are referred by specialized associations that are committed to continuing their social support. If homeless people need a roof over their heads, they need human relations just as much. From the cohabitation of young working people and homeless people are born relationships of friendship and gratuity; this social mix is a factor of insertion.
